Hi all,
England Squash have secured some funding for coach education.
Consequently, in my efforts to get things happening in North Bucks, there's a level 2 coaching course running
at Shenley Leisure Centre, Milton Keynes on May 17/18 & July 26/27 2008. It's by invitation only and
(as I write) there's seven funded spaces available.
Appart from targeting N. Bucks I'm wanting to find more coaches for (in particular) Berkshire and North Hampshire,
however I'm more than happy to consider level one coaches from within our entire area.
I thought you may know of some level one's that would appreciate a reasonably local course free of
charge! ........ spaces are going fast and the candidates need to be available for both weekends.
Of course, and not unreasonably, there are some strings attached:
Funding/Candidate Criteria
Existing England Squash Level One Assistant Coach / UKCC Level One Qualified Coach (certification gained).
UKCC Level Two Certificate in Coaching Squash completed by December 31 2008 (certification gained).
Submission of quarterly coaching activity log to the SE Area Office.
Achieve England Squash Licenced Coach status.
These opportunities only come around once in a blue moon so in the first instance please call me to discuss any
individuals that you know want to attend. It'll have to be "first come first served"........and I'll give priority to
individuals that will make themselves available thereafter to deliver coaching regularly. I attach the requisite forms. (see below)
If candidates are put forward they need to send the attached application form back to Louise Pickford in Manchester.
I'd like to compile a list for each county of prospective level one coaches, so that if such an opportunity ever
presents itself again in the future we can jump in with a proven demand.
Thanks
